So I got this email from a kind girl named Karla. She said she was in Germany and bumped into a store selling this very t shirt.  img253.imageshack.us/my.php?im…

Unfortunately Karla is from Canada and cannot remember the exact location of the store.
However, the so called brand (clearly printed on the tag) goes with the name "blind date".

I got so frustrated and disturbed, it really is the worst thing an artist could come across with.

All I am asking dear friends, and especially all of you German friends is some info. Have you seen this brand ever? Maybe some other ripped of design (we all are unprotected) ? Do you have a friend wearing a blind date tee shirt?

Also had a search over the net, but it didnt pay off. It looks like there is no site whatever.

Many thanks in advance, dear fellows.

Sorry for being a lazy mofo, I just cant reply to all :) Unless you want to give me RSI :)

Artwise, things go well and i had some free time to try and bring my style onto some different mediums.

BEing drawing on cardboards and scrap papers, walls and giraffes.

I ll make sure I upload them so  all of you wonderful peoples can give your feedback.

Hello dear friends!  I really missed you all.

Well, look at me. I m back.  I considered important to take some time out and set up my  brand new weirdink headquarters here in Greece. At last, things look normal now, and its time to join you again!

Lemmie tell you a few things about how life treats me over here in Athens.

Hmm, I can'r say its bad. Got a job at an advertising company (which i know is so different from what I love doing :) )
got some spare time to make some new friends here,  and summmer has to be great, I think.

Its really hot here, today its gonna climb up to 34 degrees. Thank God for the air conditioning.

I really miss good old England. I think I ll might have to visit my good friends over  there sometime soon.

Regarding my art, things look promising, although I could have done so much better, if I had the free time I needed.
Now I m trying to work out my schedule better, so I dont crash the bed as soon as I get in my house:)

Theres a lot of new works to be posted, I hope you like. There is also a new piece on the Cloud Matrix- It captures the story of the Cloud Making Hat which was made by the Mystery People. All these and much more, I ll have to upload as soon as I nick some time from the J.O.B

Stay tuned, its great to be back

To all of you who commented, faved and made me feel so nice with all your kind words for all this time I ve been away, THANK YOU SO MUCH!

To my good friend Fargal Ex: "im back"

Take care. Dream on!!!

God, why moving places is such a hard work?
I ve been planning ahead, and still dont know how much more work it needs to get done in order to finish! Let me put it this way, have you ever tried a life size game of Tetris?!?
Things are all over the place, I am running up and down like a prat, still dont know why on this blue earth I wasnt born with at least a little capability of organizing things!
Just an advice dear friends, if you are like me (and damn, most of artists we are pretty messy and sketchy) and you plan on moving out, just start doing things a month ago. It really helps. But its too late know. Live and learn, they say.

So, thats it then! Thought I should give you a little update on my epic expedition, heh!
After I post this journal, the love of my life, this  bad boy full of cables, chips and other things i cant recall right now, will be put to sleep for a good 8 days, till we meet again, but this time on Greek ground. I bet its a welcome break for the poor machine, sitting by me all this time, slowly getting addicted to nicotine, hearing me swearing (well some times I do, just cant help it:)  ) and keeping me company at really long nights, purring like a square, metal persian cat!

Tata, friends!

Aye up, me ducks!

Thought I should use a classic Nottingham salutation as a kind of a tribute.. Well, its been great, I mean I got to live abroad for more than 4 years.. So many things, memories and most of all great people that I was lucky enough to come across during my epic expedition! Do you know how cool is chatting up to Jon Burgerman outside Tesco? :D
Uni was great, got to learn about so many things, go crazy with experimenting (artwise ofcourse:D ) and looking for my true self. Went through a short typography rampage, a good long period of Photoshop madness. And then, out of the blue, I started scribbling and doodling. Which I was doing since a toddler, but now very different.. Then, a book called Weird Ink People was a hit with my tutors and classmates. Then the graduation. Got blind drunk. Oh yeah. Followed by a really nice holiday back in Greece, as time flew I decided to get back in Nottngham and look for a design job. Which didn't come, and I am thankful for that. What if? Would I have the same urge and passion to discover myself, being assured on the nice paycheck I would get? Would I?

After that.. Vectors! I got to work really hard and brush up my inadequate
Illustrator knoweledge, only to find out about the beauty of actually not knowing what you can't do. So my sketchy attempts got more personal, thus more original. Looking back I can't think of a way to explain what happened to me. I guess its the same with everyone out there, but when trying to recall.. Its just overwhelming.

So, time flies. Oh yeah, it does. A year after my return in the UK, finds me sitting on this uncomphy chair, trying to contemplate on what I ve achieved in the past year.
Did I make mistakes? Loads. Would I change anything? Not a single thing!

On the 18th of November (thats like, 7 days?!?) I ll be flying back home. Really don't know if its the right thing to do, I guess I ll have to go through that and maybe a year after I let you know. How about that? :D  Being back is almost weird. Having spent so much time here, it almost feels like I now have 2 homes. You know? Feeling homesick? Think again, hah. But again, its gonna be so much affordable. Being a starving artist in the UK is a really tricky thing to go through. And I wouldnt go for another crappy job, no I wouldn't.

So things seem to kick off now, I guess its the best time for my relocation attempt.
I am really excited about  that, its always great being close to good friends and live life your way. So I will be hopefully getting into education. My old college, the one which sent me here to study, is interested in hiring me as a tutor, and thats so exciting. I really love sharing my experience and little knowledge with exciting and passionate people, and its gonna be doing good to me as well, I mean being able to see such diverse body of work by your students, only makes you better and more aware. Teaching will provide the basic living expences, and leave me enough free to work on my art, and freelance. Also, being in the college again provides me with the luxury of resources such as, studios, sculpture and ceramics, screen printing. All which I am eager to experiment with.

But they say, life is strange. So maybe this plan doesn't work out. Then what? Plan B would be getting a design job, preferably in a cool design agency and far far way from traditional graphic design. I wouldnt wanna spend my time working on leaflets and brochures. I find that utterly boring. Again, freelancing will be there, I think I ll just need a stable source of income untill I put together all my plans and become somehow independent in terms of finance. Untill things really take off with my art, after that I hope to be able to live the dream of an artist. .Exhibiting around the world and making nice things for nice people.

But untill that, there are so many things to do. Priorities as the grown ups say. First,
the new website. I was lucky to be contacted by a cool, award winning web designer who liked my art and asked me if I wanted him to make my site. Are you kidding me?
Any day. But I am soooo skint right now. So the first money I ll be making will go towards a new, amazing site. Its time for the Mystery World to live in a flash enviroment. Expect some magic soon.

With the new website, I ll be able to promote my art much more effectively, and crossover. Crossovers are in my opinion the best form of promotion. So the site its made, and it looks deadly. In a snap, web design people will become familiar with your work, simply by looking at what they are mostly interested in, web design.

Thats a really long journal.

Some news now. Some cool news.
Are you familiar with the Web Designer Magazine? If yes, look out for the issue 125.
Maybe you ll see something familiar on the cover.. Something quirky, staring back at you. Something bad for your teeth, but good for making rain in the Mystery World :D

My new project is awesomely exciting and I m puting my whole heart in it. I ll be creating the cover and booklet illustrations for a cool new band called SUKABA. Sukaba's music is like an intergalactic trip, but with your pyjamas and slippers on.
The new album is gonna be released towards the end of January and I am working very closely with the band in order to develop the storytelling part of the album. Its gonna be a majestic tale about truth, friendship and dreamlands. And you ll see something overly familiar making an appearance in the story. The main two characters are dangerously loveable and huggable, and a bit of an odd friendship is going on. A friendship which helps the main protagonist discover his true self.
The first concept character sketches are done, ad things look great. Stay tuned fr more news in the next couple of weeks.

So, it took me like 40 minutes to right this bugger, so you better read it. Its good for you. Seriously.

I ll be suspending my internet service in the next week, and as soon as I am back home I ll be getting a new internet connection. So the next broadcast will be made on Greek ground.

Millions, wait.. Billions of thank yous to everyone commenting and faving my work. It is greatly appreciated and you people rock

Take care folks,

Damn, you thought I was dead or something,eh? Well, I was hibernated but this time in the middle of the summer. After almost 2 months of relax, ridiculous amounts of alchohol, sun and mamma's food I m back in Nottingham.
Things here are the same (maybe a bit more dusty) and I am trying to get back to work.

Couple of weeks ago,  I was lucky enough to be featured in the Exposure section of Computer Arts magazine, and it was really cool to see your own work inside the magazine you buy anyway, lol. So yeah, cool stuff.

Next, Pictoplasma's NewCharacter Encyclopaedia looks damn hot and fine, theres a small preview at the site.. 200 artists, nearly 400 hundred pages of character goodness, Oh my God. Really cant wait till its out. It has been known that the printing will commence somewhere in the middle of this month, so stay tuned!

A few days ago , I finished my comission for a  Record label called Neuroscience Recordings
I had such a great time working on this project and it was a welcome break from my colourful and weird worlds. Logos are cool as well!! Go have a look at the site!

Sorry for not replying to all of you nice folks outthere, but being away for so long made it really impossible to cope with 2784 messages!?! I really appreciate your comments and cool messages, so I promise I wont do it again!!! Sorry...

So, thats all for now, hope you are all fine and happy!!

take care and see ya round

Hello friends, hope you are fine.

Yesterday i finally got to submit my first t-shirt design for this comp www.splittheatom.com/design/it…
It took me quite a while in order to choose the colours as only four colours can be used. So, if you want to help, could you please vote for me? :please:
I know most of the times its the site folks who choose what is going to be printed or not, regardless the score, but I would be so happy to see some of my dA friends commenting and rating on the site!!! :bounce:

I am sure you are all familiar with the t shirt design, lol. As I said its my first one and I am not  sure if it is that good, I think i rushed it a bit, so any critique and comments are more that appreciated!!!

More good news now!!! The Matrixes make it to the Pictoplasma Character Encyclopaedia!!!  I was meaning  to send the Matrixes to the Pictoplasma archive for so long, I finally did and to my surprise, not long after I got this email from the nice Pictoplasma folks, saying they love my characters and asking me to mail them the HiRes files in order to be printed!!!  The book is gonna be out round November, and its gonna be distributed worldwide! I also get a free copy, yay!!!
I am soooooo excited about this, I cant wait :bounce:

Thats all for now, take care and thanks so much for all your comments/critique and favs!!!

A dozen.

There are 12 months in a year,

12 inches in a foot and 12 old pennies in a shilling.

12 o'clock is midday or midnight. There are 12 signs of the Zodiac,

12 apostles and 12 people in a jury.

A dodecahedron has a regular pentagon on each of its 12 faces. It is one of the five Platonic solids. It has 20 vertices (or corners) and 30 edges. If you join together the centres of the faces of a dodecahedron you get an icosahedron.

Both octahedrons and cubes have 12 edges. An icosahedron has 12 vertices or corners.

The wheels of most cars are held on by 16 wheel nuts, with four for each wheel. Two important exceptions to this rule are the Citroën 2CV and the Robin Reliant which each have just 12 wheel nuts. The Citroën 2CV has three wheel nuts on each of its four wheels, while the Robin Reliant has four wheel nuts on each of its three wheels.

Hey amigos...

Guess what.. I just got a deal with a local shop in Nottingham and they are more than happy to stock my art there. Yay!!! SO, all i have to do now is start saving some money in order to start producing some prints, buying frames and all that... I am also looking to buy a badge making kit, as it will be really useful, i thinks.. I am gonna start printing some postcards first (because im really skint right now.. As always!!) so it would be a good marketing test in order to see which pieces sell the most. I am really excited about this as they arereally cool people and they are artists as well so, I am sure its gonna be great working with them.

Also, I met the man, Mr Burgerman Himself. He is the local superstar over here, and the people from the shop organized this cool event where Jon Burgerman talked about his work. He is such a cool guy, so humble as well, damn!!!

have a look at the shop's website, theres some really cool stuff there. I cant wait till I get some stuff there to sell...     www.eyecandyonline.co.uk

Moreover, few weeks ago i found out about Gocco.. It is a home printing device, used in Japan round mid seventies I think, to produce custom postcards. It can als print on fabrics. It looks really cool and as i read the print quality is ace!!! Anybody who ones one? I would love to get one, i might have to look on ebay..

Well, thats all for now, take care

Damn, its been ages.

I am so sorry i couldnt find the time to reply or even comment at deviations.
Well, life's been pretty peachy.

But right now, things seem to get brighter.

First of all, there are no words to express my gratitude to all of you for making me feel welcome from the very first days in dA and for all these nice words and feedback on my art.

10.000 + pageviews, yay!!! I couldnt have done it without you and i wouldnt keep making more weirdink art if it wasnt for all of you, amigos.

Its true I said im gonna get a prints account.. However , im still struggling financialy so i think i ll have to wait a bit more. But i will definately start selling weirdink prints!!

Now, my website is pretty much ready, apart from some changes i have to make and some additional pages i have to work on.

I suck big time as far as web design is concerned, so please dont be too harsh on me, hahaha.

Well i  hope you take a look and give me your feedback

Howdy do, folks

Well, im back. Sort of, heh. Been very busy the last weeks, work kinda took all my motivation and inspiration away, thus the lack of new art..  Although many ideas for some new art were born, the free time was soo little i kinda had to give in and be a lazy mofo..
I ll try to take on some plushie making, but i need help. So, if anybody of you nice peoples out there
has a good ol tip or two, please drop me a line.. What sort of a sewing machine do i need? Any good suggestions? Materials? Damn, theres so many questions to ask..

I ll be getting a print account soon, so stay tuned.. Gotta pay some bills first but as soon as I get finished with them I am getting a print account, yay!!!

Thanx so much for your support and apologies again for not replying..I ll catch up with it, I promise!

Ok, Valentine's Day today.
So what?

People say nice mushy things to eachother, buy them flowers and stuff.
So what? Can't smoke 'em, can't eat 'em.

Florists smile today.
So what? I smile averyday.

Let me tell ya. Its a conspiracy. Heh.

Crappy day at the workplace today as well. Couples stuck together like siamese twins try to pick up the bloody tray and sit on the table. You can't do that, pumpkin. Unless you have trained. But how good ya get at it with just a day's practice every damn year?

The point is, folks: Its Valentine's Day today.
So what?

I gotta find me a new shitty dayjob as well. So, help me with your suggestions.
What kinda work should I find?

a) Move to Montana and become a dental floss tycoon

b) Stay here and develop the secret recipe for creating humongous roses I could sell every year on this very day.

c)Develop evil, fireproof marshmellows

d)Become a Jack Russel/Panda crossbreeder and save some eucalyptus trees out there.

e)Accept hypnotism session and work on Valentine's cards design for the rest of my life

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

if you read this, thanx. If you cheated and scrolled down, you re a cheeky bugger and i like you more.

 to everyone out there, stay safe and don't eat all the chocolate today. Save some for a rainy day.

Thanks again for all your kind words and comments, you know you rule!!!
